Dental Implants are replacements for the root of the missing tooth. An implant made of titanium is placed into the jawbone of the patient and an artificial tooth is mounted on it. It is a cosmetic treatment that restores the aesthetic appearance of the patient. At Smile World Dental, patients are provided dental implants by efficient and expert dentists of Salida, CA.

Patients who have gaps in between the teeth caused by tooth loss can get implant treatment. In case of a damaged tooth that may be broken or chipped, implants can be done after extracting the affected tooth. However, a patient would need to have a good bone mass that can support the implant structure for them to be able to undergo this treatment. People who cannot get treatments like dentures can choose implants to restore their tooth functionality.

The initial step of the dental implant procedure is treatment planning. The dentist takes multiple diagnostic images of the patient to study the dental condition. Once the plan has been made, the surgical process begins with administering anesthesia to numb the area in treatment. It also helps to reduce anxiety and enables the patient to remain calm and comfortable during the process. If the patient has a damaged tooth in the area, it is extracted and left to heal. After the healing process, an implant is placed in the jawbone using a special drill.
