Dr. Ryan Baker was born and raised in San Diego, California. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in General Biology from the University of California, San Diego. He attended dental school at the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ASDOH) in Mesa, Arizona, where he received both his Doctor of Dental Medicine and Master of Public Health degrees.
While in dental school, Dr. Baker was involved with numerous collegiate activities. He served as class president, president of the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity (Alpha Zeta Chapter) and president of the ASDOH Pediatric Dental Club.
After dental school, Dr. Baker completed a two-year post-doctoral residency at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California, to specialize in pediatric dentistry. Upon completion of the program, he was awarded a Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry as well as a Master of Science degree in Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Baker was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society, which is considered one of the highest honors attainable within the dental profession with only the top 10% of the graduating class being chosen for induction.
Dr. Baker is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Society, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, San Diego County Dental Association, and the Tri-County Dental Society. He is also board certified with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Rashid Kamdar is a native of Orange County who graduated from Fountain Valley High School. He earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Biological Sciences from UC Irvine, graduating with top honors and magna cum laude. He then moved to Los Angeles to start his dental career by attending UCLA dental school with a Regents Scholarship. After graduating at the top of his class with a degree of dental surgery (DDS), he wanted to further develop his esthetic skills and moved to New York to attend a general practice residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx. He then completed his orthodontic specialty training at the UNLV School of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. He speaks Spanish as well, and we feel very fortunate that Dr. Kamdar is joining our team.
Being a Premier Invisalign provider, and having received training using proven state-of-the-art technology, Dr. Kamdar has also successfully completed the first two stages of board certification. With his thorough background he understands the importance of a healthy and attractive smile. Dr. Kamdar is also an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association and all of their constituent societies.
