Dr. Jason Oh grew up and attended high school in La Canada, CA, and majored in molecular and cell biology at UC Berkeley. He considered a variety of medical careers, but found that dentistry offered the perfect blend of problem solving and craftsmanship while giving him the opportunity to make a real difference in peoples lives, so he earned his DDS degree at UCLA School of Dentistry.
Since earning his DDS degree, Dr. Oh has completed over 200 hours of continuing education each year, investing immense amounts of time in coursework and hands-on training to become an expert in the fields of implants, orthodontics, and cosmetic dentistry. He has a passion for learning and believes that as a dentist, it is his responsibility to stay current with every advance that takes place in the field of dentistry so that he can provide his patients with the best treatments and care available to them today.
After dental school, Dr. Oh spent one year as a general-practice resident at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center and two years as an associate dentist before becoming a practice owner. Since then, he has been providing the Palmdale community with the dental services they need to stay healthy while enjoying the confidence that comes with a naturally beautiful smile.
Outside of the office, Dr. Oh resides in Canyon Country with his wife, Jessica, his twins, Mason and Madison and their miniature schnauzer, Bella. He enjoys playing golf and spending time with family and friends. When asked to describe himself, Dr. Oh simply says, Im just a regular guy that loves helping people smile.
Dr. Shanne Sastiels passion for dentistry stems from his desire to educate and care for patients with the utmost concern for their well-being. He believes that quality care is achieved through open communication, developing a trusting relationship with every patient, and staying up-to-date on the latest dental techniques and technology. With a commitment to delivering the highest standard of care, Dr. Sastiel provides a full range of general and specialized dental procedures, including extractions, bone and gum tissue grafting, placing dental implants, and improving his patients smiles.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Dr. Sastiel graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Sastiel then attended the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). Later, he earned his Masters Degree in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences, as well as completed his postgraduate training and certificate in Periodontics. During his time at UCSF, he received the prestigious award for Outstanding Achievement in Periodontics by the American Academy of Periodontics.
Dr. Sastiel is happy to be a member of the AV Sierra Dental Center team. Each day, he looks forward to being in the office, seeing new and returning patients, and helping them maintain and improve their oral health. Dr. Sastiel is married to his wife, Shirley, and together they have two children. During his free time, he can be found cooking, hiking, and spending time with his family at the beach.
Dr. Crystiane Couto has been creating beautiful smiles since 2003. Her career as a dentist began in Brazil where she went through five years of training in Rio De Janeiro. When she moved to the United States, Dr. Couto pursued her Orthodontic certificate degree at New York University where she graduated at the top of her class with high honors.
Subsequently in 2003, she returned to Saint Louis University to complete a three year dual residency program in Orthodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry. After completing her specialization in Orthodontics, Dr. Couto went into private practice in Texas, where she worked for over five years before moving to the Greater Los Angeles area.
Dr. Couto has been a proud member of AV Sierra Dental Center and takes great pride in the professionalism and attention to detail that she is able to provide to her patients. She appreciates the strong culture of support among her Orthodontic associates.
Dr. Couto, Dr. Oh, and the AV Sierra Dental team are always working hard to gain the trust of all patients and make them feel right at home! They aim to provide the best Orthodontic treatment in a comfortable and relaxed environment.

Dr. Michael Tran discovered his passion for dentistry while attending undergraduate school for biological science at the University of Southern California, Irvine, as well as time spent shadowing his personal dentist. The desire to help patients by interacting with them and learning more about their dental needs and goals, along with enjoying working with his hands, led him to attend dental school at the University of Southern California. Dr. Tran finished dental school in 2014 and spent the next two years working as a private practice general dentist.
Thanks to his passion for learning and expanding his skill set, he returned to school in 2016 for an endodontic residency at West Virginia University. Dr. Tran has been working as a private endodontist since 2019. His desire to stay abreast of the latest advances in his chosen medical field has grown over the years as he continues to study the newest treatment options in the ever-changing field of endodontics. Dr. Tran remains committed to high-quality care that relieves the pain experienced by patients through up-to-date techniques.
Outside of the office, Dr. Tran enjoys spending time with friends and family. He can be found in the sunshine on the golf course or snowboarding on a winter day. Dr. Tran also enjoys cars, traveling and going to the movies (and combining all three activities when possible).
