The primary factor that distinguishes Adventure Dental and Orthodontics is education. Many dentists who treat children are not trained as specialists, and many specialists are not board certified. Dr. Monti and Dr. Pepper both earned their undergraduate degrees from UCLA, and they both attended the UCLA School of Dentistry. After dental school, they both completed their residency through the Harvard School of Dental Medicine at Boston Childrens Hospital. Finally, they took their training one step further and became Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. As such, our dentists are highly skilled and can effectively treat all your childs dental problems.
We are committed to improving not just the health of our patients, but the experience of our patients as well. Transforming a childs perception of the dentist from one of fear or anxiety to one of joy and excitement is the best thing about being a pediatric dentist. When we see our patients at a restaurant, the grocery store, or the ball field, and they are happy to see us, we know that we have made a difference for a child.
We see more children in a day than a general dentist will see in a week or even a month. Our dental team is familiar with the wide range of child behavior and we are able to tailor every visit to each childs individual needs to best serve them. This allows us to make each visit fun and relaxed. Contact our pediatric dentists and orthodontist in Santa Clarita and find out how we can help your child today!
Dr. Monti has been living in Southern California since 1988, earning her bachelor and D.D.S. degrees from UCLA. A native of Southern California, Dr. Pepper graduated from UCLA in 2003 with an undergraduate degree in Physiological Sciences. She loved UCLA so much that it is where she chose to earn her dental degree. Somehow tired of the sunshine and warm weather, Dr. Pepper next moved to Boston, where she completed her pediatric dental residency at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Because Dr. Pepper always wanted to serve her hometown community and be close to family and friends, she happily returned to the Antelope Valley.
Dr. Pepper now lives in Palmdale with her husband Christopher, an aerospace engineer, their son Theo, and two rescue cats. She loves country music, going to the gym, In-N-Out, and, of course, rooting for UCLA. Go Bruins!
Dr. Soares wanted to become an Orthodontist since her teenage years, when she was a patient herself. She was inspired by the positive changes of her new smile on her life and wanted to be able to provide the same.
Dr. Soares was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where she graduated from Dental School in 1998. She completed a Masters Degree and PhD in Orthodontics in 2001. Following her dreams, she moved to the United States and completed a three-year Residency in Orthodontics at the UCLA School of Dentistry and became a Board Certified Orthodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Soares stays on the cutting edge of the latest advancements in Orthodontics through continuing education and teaching activities. Besides private practice, she has taught at several schools in Brazil and was a volunteer lecturer at UCLA. She enjoys her weekends with her husband and their 3 year-old daughter going to parks, riding bikes, hiking and enjoying the outdoors.

First and foremost is patient care, and everything else is secondary. My goal is to provide uncompromising care, while still having the patient feel comfortable and confident. I believe this goal can be reached through open communication and active discussion.

At Adventure Dental and Orthodontics, we understand that patients want to know more about their dentist before they come in for their first visit. Our goal is to always make sure that our patients feel comfortable so that they can have a successful visit each and every time. Weve been practicing for years and are dedicated to staying up to date on cutting-edge treatments and research for the benefit of our patients.
If youve been looking for a dentist who is not only qualified but also cares about the well-being of your child, then youve found the right pediatric dental office. We got into this profession because we wanted to help people gain confidence in their smile, and we enjoy tailoring our approach to each unique case. When youre ready to reach out, our friendly staff will be happy to assist.
As pediatric dental specialists, we dont limit our practice to certain categories of children or treatments. We see everyone from average kids with average cavities to athletes who have had dental trauma to special needs children who require focused and specialized treatment. We celebrate patients who make it into our no-cavity club or who stop a thumb-sucking habit. We welcome new, young patients into our practice and we are sad when they are finally old enough to graduate to an adult dentist.

The best way to ensure your child has healthy teeth and gums in their adolescent and adult life is to have them develop healthy oral care habits as soon as possible. By educating them on the importance of brushing and flossing regularly and properly, your child will be able to help prevent dental problems later in life. You should also consider their diet and try to give them healthy and balanced meals. Avoid overly processed foods that are high in artificial sugars and try to stick with fruits, vegetables, cheese, and other low-sugar foods as snacks. Ask a knowledgeable pediatric dentist in Santa Clarita about the most effective ways to improve and maintain your childs oral health.
